For Kelley Higney, founder and CEO of Bug Bite Thing, the realization that this could be more than a side hustle came when she had customers tracking her down in the parking lot after she sold her product at her daughter’s bake sales. With amazing customer feedback, Kelley realized she was onto something, sold her house, and invested that money into her first big batch of inventory and went straight to the sharks on Shark Tank along with her mum Ellen.

With their presentation completed they had the sharks fighting over the Bug Bite Thing, but it wasn’t until Lori offered her golden ticket the decision was made.
